Drinking and thinking do not go together

A Tennessee woman is learning why drinking and thinking do not go together. According to News Channel 3, Lauren Smith was hit with a slew of charges after she decided that the responsible thing for her to do in her drunken state was to allow a 10-year-old girl to be her designated driver.

Josh Staten told News Channel 3 that he spotted the two bobbing and weaving in and out of traffic, and that he stayed hot on their trail as they made their way into an Auto Zone.

Smith didn’t take too kindly to Staten following her. So she decided to teach him a lesson by pepper spraying him. Staten told News Channel 3 that he called the police before they all made it into the Auto Zone.

After the police arrived, Smith turned her attention towards them and began kicking an officer. As a result of her unbecoming behavior, Smith was charged with child endangerment, DUI, and assaulting an officer.
